TASK:
My task was to create a central element around which the opera Salome unfolds.

OPERA INFO:
Salome, Op. 54, is a one-act opera by Richard Strauss, based on Oscar Wilde's play. Notable for its "Dance of the Seven Veils," it's often performed as a concert piece.

PERSONAL ANALYSIS:
Upon immersing myself in the opera, certain moments caught my attention:
1- A haunting ode to the moon, portraying it as beautiful yet tormented.
2- Salome's attempt to kiss Saint Joseph, met with rejection.
3- The pivotal Dance of the Seven Veils leading to Saint Joseph's demise.
4- Salome's macabre act of kissing Saint Joseph's bloodied head.

SOLUTION:
Diving into the heart of the opera, I poured my creativity into enriching its emotional impact.

Picture this: a mesmerizing moon, fragmented yet captivating, casting an ethereal glow that mirrored the characters' inner struggles.
Then there's the elastic tulle capsule, a poignant symbol of Saint Joseph's confinement, evoking a sense of longing and desperation in Salome's futile attempts to reach him.
As Salome danced, veils swirling around her, the wind machine added an enchanting touch, immersing the audience in the scene's mystique and allure.
And finally, the moon's reflection unveiled Saint Joseph's bloodied head, a haunting reminder of the opera's tragic climax that left us all breathless.
